Zurich has launched the latest edition of its annual tax handbook in conjunction with Pearson Education.
Fully revised and updated for 2008/9, the new guide offers financial advisers and their clients a single source of reference for all aspects of tax planning.
The handbook provides information on self-employment, trusts, IHT, CGT, VAT and detailed information on taxation arrangements for small businesses.
As well as reference material, it also includes practical advice on self-assessment, pension planning, property investment and stamp duty. How to plan effectively for wealth preservation while mitigating and reducing tax liabilities is another topic covered, according to the firm.
Paul Wright, investment management director at Zurich Life UK, says taxation is a complex area which people often fail to address in sufficient detail.
“This latest edition of the Zurich Tax Handbook is designed to simplify the subject, helping advisers and their clients understand the UK tax system and make tax savings where possible.
“We believe the guide will prove a popular source of reference for advisers and their clients as well as other finance professionals.”
Readers can access the latest revisions online and receive email notification of updates this year, allowing advisers and their clients to stay informed of any key changes that occur between Budgets, says Zurich.
Copies of the book, priced £34.99 with free p&p, can be ordered at: www.pearson-books.com/Zurichpr or by calling 0870 607 3777 and quoting reference RA009L.IFAonline
