The Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers has appointed David Bennett as its new chief executive.
Bennett is currently head of the City of London Corporation’s Brussels office and he will start at APCIMS on 1 January.
He will replace the current chief executive, Angela Knight, who leaves at the end of November to become chief executive designate of the British Bankers Association (BBA).
John Hall, chairman of APCIMS, says: “I am delighted David has accepted this post. He has a good knowledge of the issues facing our industry and is particularly well known in Brussels, where so much of the legislation that affects financial firms is developed.”
