Chartwell Group has chosen Fundsdirect Ltd as the wrap provider to launch its new Investor Centre platform.
The selection of Fundsdirect, which produces the Ascentric platform, sees Chartwell enter the wrap platform market for the first time.
Chartwell will use Fundsdirect's wrap platform to power and launch its "Investor Centre" proposition to serve both its Advisory and Direct investment broking businesses. Chartwell expects to migrate most of its clients over to the respective platforms within the next 3-5 years.
Director Rob Hudson says the choice of platform is fundamental to their plans moving forward.
"Given that we will be significantly expanding our range of services across Direct and Advisory, our platform requirements have proven highly challenging to most existing providers," he says.
Hudson says Fundsdirect's core capability meets this challenge and allows the company to deliver high quality platform enabled advisory and direct services moving forward.
"By adopting a single platform across the Direct and Advisory channels we can make sure that we are providing high quality services for each set of client needs. As circumstances change clients will be able to ensure that they are still receiving the kind of advice or assistance that they require from Chartwell."
Hudson adds the company is happy to talk to other advice businesses about linking up to the 'Investor Centre' platform and accessing its multi-channel services.
