Unum unveils individual IP tool for IFAs

A website providing case studies, sales aids and information on individual income protection (IP) for advisers has been launched by Unum.

The group protection specialist says unum4advisers.co.uk has been designed to help "advisers present the product solutions to their clients as effectively as possible". Unum head of retail sales and marketing Linton Penman says it hopes the tool will help dispel the myth IP is complex and difficult to claim on. "If we are to close the protection gap in the UK, we need to do all we can to dispel these views and look for new and different ways of supporting advisers in their sales efforts," he says.
