Standard Life has launched a new portal for online servicing of its 38,000 employer pension schemes called GroupPensionzone.
GroupPensionzone replaces Pensions Administrator and Group Scheme Services, the previous portals for employers and advisers respectively.
The provider says the design of GroupPensionzone is based on feedback and research to meet the specific requirements of users. The overall aim is to save time and reduce costs for advisers and employers by providing a portal that is quick and easy to use.
Manila McLean, head of e-Commerce Group Pensions at Standard Life, says: “We know through extensive research that advisers and employers regard technology solutions as being invaluable in helping reduce their administrative costs. The research we conducted has helped us to make GroupPensionzone easy to use, flexible and responsive. Most importantly, GroupPensionzone offers the reliability and systems integrity that advisers and employers depend upon.”

GroupPensionzone has been developed by a dedicated IT team aligned to the Group Pensions e-commerce division within Standard Life. The site is based on service orientated software and was developed using “agile” techniques aimed at reducing the time delay between innovation and implementation.
Dedicated phoneline support is also being provided by Standard Life e-commerce technicians for employers and advisers using GroupPensionzone.
