Mortgage Intelligence (MI) has begun offering its members access to Legal & General's (L&G) GIology system via its general insurance (GI) panel.
L&G's GIology point-of-sale system enables indicative quotes for its range of general insurance products to be sourced on and offline by asking clients only a few questions and with no need for advisers to re-key the data. MI's insurance help desk will also be on hand to assist advisers with any queries they may have.
"General insurance is an invaluable income stream and one which advisers simply cannot afford to ignore," says Sally Laker, managing director at MI.
Laker says the GIology system will allow its members to save time and streamline business processes when quoting for their clients.
Phil Kennedy, business development director at L&G, says independent research it had conducted with IFAs reveals over 65% agree customers do not have adequate household insurance cover in place.
"So advising customers on household insurance cover will allow Mortgage Intelligence advisers to ensure their customers' protection needs are perhaps more fully covered, as well as providing a real business opportunity at this challenging time."IFAonline
