Robin Phipps, executive director with responsibility for UK business operations at Legal & General, has announced he will stand down on July 13.
Protection and annuities executive director John Pollock and wealth management executive director Kate Avery will continue in their roles reporting to group chief executive Tim Breedon.
Legal & General chairman Sir Rob Margetts says: “During a distinguished 25-year career, Robin has been a major part of the extraordinary success of Legal & General.
“He has made an outstanding contribution serving as a Board Director for the last 11 years, and been instrumental in building Legal & General's UK business into one of the country's leading providers of protection, annuity and savings products.”
Tim Breedon adds: “We wish Robin a happy retirement.
“He can leave us confident that the realigned business structure that he recently helped put in place, will provide the right model and the depth of experience at Board level to take the business forward.”
