West Brom Building Society has become the latest lender to use eConveyancer as its preferred method for instructing conveyancers.
eConveyancer can be used by lenders and intermediaries to locate and instruct a conveyancer on their client’s behalf and can also be used to monitor their progress.
Alan Ding, director of eConveyancer, says the system is easy to use, can enhance a customer proposition and enables users to generate more income. Ding also claims that around 12,000 intermediaries use the system on a regular basis.
Commenting on the deal, Neil McBride, head of direct mortgages at West Brom, says: “Most borrowers do not maintain an ongoing relationship with a firm of solicitors and eConveyancer enables them to find, appoint and track the activities of a solicitor quickly, easily and more cheaply than they could do for themselves.”
eConveyancer has also recently launched ehips, allowing users to offer a comprehensive HIPs service to their clients.
