Outsourced investment platform provider Parmenion Capital Partners has added a range of passive fund options to its discretionary service.
A low-cost alternative to actively managed funds, the passive options are available for the equity growth and fixed income sectors.
The equity specialist and property sectors have no passive options.
Used commonly in the institutional arena, Parmenion says IFAs will enjoy using passive funds to complement existing portfolios.
Parmenion investments head Simon Brett says while many active funds do outperform passive options, a mixed approach makes sense.
“Many of the largest investors, notably pension funds, adopt an investment mandate blending satellite active holdings with a passive core,” he says
“This is an entirely reasonable approach and it is why Parmenion has introduced a new range of passive options to its platform.”IFAonline
