HM Treasury has announced the Budget will be delivered by Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer, at 12.30pm on 21 March.
The Budget is expected to include further details of announcement touched on in the Pre-Budget Report in December including among others the future of Pensions Term Assurance (PTA), and Alternatively Secured Pension (ASP).
This is Brown's 11th Budget, and it is expected to be his last as he is the favourite to take over from Prime Minister Tony Blair when he steps down later this year.
