Friends raids Standard Life once again

Friends Provident has poached a second executive from rival insurer Standard Life in under a year, this time snaring its CFO Evelyn Bourke.

Bourke, who will assume the identical role at Friends, has made the same move down from Edinburgh as former colleague and current chief executive Trevor Matthews. She will join Friends after her six month notice period, with interim CFO Charles Bellringer remaining at the helm in the meantime. Bellringer took over as temporary CFO in July following Jim Smart’s departure.
