Borrowing costs remain unchanged after the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee decided to leave the base rate unchanged at 4%.
City economists said the decision was too close to call beforehand, but it is likely the decision will increase pressure to raise rates by May. Minutes of today’s meeting will be published on Wednesday 21 April. IFAonline
