The Institute of Actuaries has appointed Nigel Masters from Zurich Assurance as president.
He replaces Nick Dumbreck who will step down in July when his two-year term ends.
Masters works as group chief life actuary at Zurich Assurance, which he joined in July 2006. He previously worked as a partner at Watson Wyatt from 1984 after joining the company a year earlier.
He has also held the chairman role on the Actuarial Profession’s Life Board since 2006.
