Norwich Union has linked up with Barclays to offer a range of its new life insurance products to the bank's mass market customers.
The products, which will be marketed as ‘Simplified Life', will be launched this week with customer promotions starting in September.
Barclays will offer both level and decreasing term insurance products as non-advised sales through the Barclays website, which also provides a quote option and application facility.
Gary Duggan, managing director for consumer lending and insurance at Barclays, says: “The Norwich Union partnership enables us to expand our protection offering to include life insurance - a product which is essential to many customers.
“We already have a strong relationship with Norwich Union in relation to our motor, travel and home insurance and we look forward to working with them in this area.”
