AIG Life is offering a 1% increase to client allocation as it releases the third tranche of its Guaranteed Stockmarket funds. This increase is available to all clients provided they remain invested for at least one year.
The funds, which were designed for investors to gain exposure to the stockmarket while having a buffer of capital protection, offer access to the group's entire range of life, pension and trustee products.
According to a client's risk profile, they offer two levels of capital guarantee at either 95% or 100%. The 100% level gives clients the potential benefits of stockmarket growth with the safe haven of the unit price being fully protected from loss so long as they remain invested over consecutive yearly guaranteed dates.
The 95% Long-Term Stockmarket funds have greater exposure to stockmarket growth but consequently have higher risk attached. However, even with poor stockmarket returns the funds unit price will never lower by more than 5% over one-year periods between consecutive guarantee dates.
This tranche will remain open until March 15 2006.
