The pilot of Legal & General and Cofunds' intermediary investment bond has launched with a number of advisers.
It will open to the entire market via the Cofunds platform once testing is complete. Featuring over 200 funds from 40 providers, as well as six products from L&G, the bond is a scaled up version of the tied offering launched for L&G partner Bradford & Bingley in the summer.
Among the providers on the platform are Aegon, Barings, Cazenove, First State, Merrill Lynch and Jupiter.
Funds such as Martin Currie Asia Pacific, Legg Mason Japan Equity, Artemis UK Growth and Fidelity Special Situations are also included on the platform.
Mark Jones, marketing and product development director at Cofunds, said the panel represents around 25% of all funds on the platform overall, but 80% to 90% of new business sales. There is no fixed date for the full launch of the product as yet.
