Phil Jefferson, Henderson Global Investors' director of UK wholesale, is to leave the group as it looks to move its equity and bond investments into a listed assets business.
The move sees Andrew Formica and David Jacob, who are the heads of equities and fixed income respectively, head up the new structure in a joint role.
Distribution activities, such as marketing and product support, will also become part of the listed assets business. Kate O'Neill will take on overall responsibility for pan-European wholesale distribution and hedge funds, while Arno Kitts continues to have responsibility for the business's institutional clients.
According to Henderson, the new structure has been designed to capitalise on significant developments seen in its product range over the past two years and to position the firm for future growth over the coming years. After two years in his role, Jefferson will leave the group following the restructure, as will Mike Clare, managing director, Europe and Asia.
