AIG Life has added seven more specialist investment funds to its Active Access fund range.
The Allianz Pimco Sterling Total Return Fund, Fidelity India Focus Fund, First State Emerging Market Leaders, First State Asia Pacific Leaders, Framlington Monthly Income, CF Midas Balanced Growth and the CF Miton Special Situations Portfolio funds will all now be available through AIG Life's product range. The funds were selected for their strong track record.
Four funds have also been relegated from the Active Access fund range as a result of either sustained underperformance or changed investment objectives. The JPMF Global fund, JPMF Asia fund, Threadneedle Global Equity & Bond and GAM Star American Focus fund have all been relegated, bringing the total number of funds available under AIG Life's range of external fund links to 91.
Head of life and pensions, AIG Life, Paul Shallis, said: "We review the fund range every six months, but should something turn up we may change it if we feel it is the right time. We are not impulsive when it comes to an involved process like this, we try to look at funds over a long period as opposde to just changing them if they have a bad couple of months."
AIG Life's Active Access range looks to provide advisers with a 'manageable selection' of funds in each sector. Operated on a 'buy list' basis, the range is strictly monitored with underperformers replaced by better performance prospects.
