The FTSE is down 14 points to 4,040 this morning ahead of the Monetary Policy Committee's latest decision due in a few hours. This follows overnight trading in New York where the Dow Jones Industrial Average index dropped 66.88 points to 9,156.21. Wolseley topped the losers, shedding 15.75p to 684.5p after admitting that a weak US dollar has hit earnings - two-thirds of its business is in the US. AstraZenica leads the gainers, adding 75p to 2,531.5p. The FTSE 250 index is down 10 points to 5,131.
