Liontrust to launch fund

Liontrust Asset Management is planning to launch a short-only hedge fund, based on the First Growth unit trust, to be run by fund manager Jeremy Lang. As well as this fund, which is likely to be up and running in the third quarter of this year, the group also intends to launch offshore Guernsey-based Oeic versions of the Knowledge Economy Trust, to be run by Anthony Cross, and the Liontrust First Large Cap fund, to be managed by William Pattisson, in the second or third quarter.
