Just in time to remind us to buy that cheap bottle of aftershave this weekend, online bank Cahoot has come up with some figures showing the value of unpaid work carried out by the average "Dad".
It says that the average value of daily chores adds up to £898 per week or more than £3,500 per month.
This reflects the roles of child-minder, entertainer, mechanic, electrician and plumber variously taken on by the male of the species.
Cahoot says the asset value of dads is less appreciated compared to the celebrations for Mother's Day.
Mothers might take grievance with that statement, however, given the money paid out each year to professionals to rectify the mechanical, electrical and plumbing jobs invariably botched by well-meaning dads.
We await Cahoot's calculations for Mother's Day with bated breath.
