Andy Gray and Johnny Russell have joined Scottish Widows Investment Partnership's small caps fund management team to take up their posts as investment directors.
Gray was previously at LeggMason Investors where he was fund manager in the UK Smaller Companies Team and will now manage the small cap section of several funds with specific responsibility for undertaking research into pharmaceutical, insurance and software sectors.
Russell is joining SWIP from Edinburgh Fund Managers where he was investment manager of the UK Smaller Companies' desk but now manages the small cap section of several funds with responsibility for research media, entertainment, leisure, chemical and transport sectors.
Both will report to Gregor Macdonald, investment director and head of pan-European Small Cap Research, as well as supporting with the development of retail and institutional portfolios.
