Noble is to launch a VCT in the New Year, following the recruitment of Charles McMicking, previously a senior fund manager on the Electra venture and development capital trust, writes Fiona Henderson.
McMicking left Electra two weeks ago and has not been replaced as yet. The VCT is in the very early stages of development and Nobles already has a VCT in the market under the Enterprise banner.
Patrick Booth Clibborn, director at Nobles, said: 'It is also undecided whether the venture capital trust will be branded Enterprise or Noble. It is likely the fund will be run similarly to Enterprise but probably with more of an Aim flavour.'
He believes the VCT market is likely to be smaller this year and that only quality trusts will survive. He said: 'Enterprise was a top performer last year and we are hoping this continues.'
