Equities may have reached fair value and have modest near-term upside potential, Axa Investment Managers believes. Nigel Richardson, senior strategist at Axa, said: 'UK and US equities have now probably returned to fair value and the recent resilience of equities in the face of poor economic news suggests that investors believe this to be the case. Looking ahead, however, although equities may face some near-term upside, it would be a mistake to start thinking in terms of a renewed bull market.'
