BFS has launched a Pep transfer product which will primarily invest in shares of investment trusts.
The group is offering a range of options for investors. One is a choice of shares from the four Pep-qualifying split capital trusts managed by the group - Geared Income, Geared Income & Growth, Small Companies Dividend and Zero Preference. Alternatively the group is offering managed portfolios ranging from low risk, invested in zero dividend preference shares, through to medium to high risk portfolios invested in UK blue chip and smaller company equities.
Investors requiring income can place funds in a High Income portfolio invested in the income shares of split capital investment trusts. There is also a self-select option which gives IFAs the opportunity to construct a portfolio for their client.
The option allows a portfolio to be constructed from qualifying unit and investment trusts and UK quoted companies. Any portfolio changes can be made via the telephone through one of the group's portfolio managers.
The final option is called single company where investors can transfer their Pep funds into the shares of a single UK or EU company. One all four of the options intermediaries can receive 3% initial commission and 0.5% renewal. The minimum investment ranges from £1,000 to £5,000. All the options investors are required to pay up to 1.25% dealing charges.
