Insight Investments plans to launch a UK Focus fund, to be managed by Neil Pegrum when he joins the group in December. The fund aims to be a high beta, best ideas portfolio with between 25 and 40 holdings. Pegrum joins the group from M&G, where he spent 16 years. In 14 of those he ran M&G's £273m British Opportunities fund. He is to be director of UK equities at Insight and will also be responsible for the £124m Insight UK Discretionary fund, formerly the Clerical Medical UK Growth fund.
