S&P gives A (New) fund rating to Franklin

Standard & Poor's has given an A (New) fund rating to Franklin Global Small-Mid Cap Growth fund. S&P said the management of the fund was a collective effort, drawing upon the research of Fiduciary's Europe and North America smaller companies teams. Both the teams employ a fundamentals-driven management approach emphasising stock selection within growing industries. S&P said although there is a bias to growth, there is also a shared view that portfolio holdings should be spread across a broad range of industries to avoid excessive risk.
