The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is offering a series of workshops to help firms understand and implement the new Training and Competence (T&C) requirements which are scheduled to come into effect later this year when the FSA assumes its full powers.
The workshops will be practically based and presented by the FSA staff that developed the new T&C regime, so delegates will be able to talk to the experts about the implications for them and their firms.
Peter Filmer, head of training services at the FSA, said: "This is a real opportunity to hear first hand what will be expected under the new FSA training and competence regime, once N2 [date full powers come into effect] arrives. We shall go through case studies covering a variety of scenarios, and delegates will be able to discuss them with FSA staff and other delegates in order to develop further their understanding and help them to decide upon their approach."
The first workshops are being run in April and May and relate to the new T&C requirements for administration functions.
