Kerry Nelson has left Deep Blue Financials to join Bates Investment to enhance its communications team consisting of James Dalby and Paul Ilott. Nelson will continue to research personal finance, work on strategic development and advise clients. The group has also just recruited James Jones-Tinsley as head of pensions, from actuaries and pension consultants Barnet Waddingham. Bates is looking to double its number of intermediaries over the next 12 to 18 months as well as rebrand its business prior to a planned flotation.
