Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) has had its Intrinsic Asset Manager Rating of aa+ reinstated by Fitch AMR, a subsidiary of Fitch Ratings. A ratings watch had been in place since June 2002, reflecting the increased fragility that resulted from departures in MLIM's investment teams and rumoured legal actions by some of its institutional clients. This watch was removed last week.
