Canada Life has launched an onshore Select Investment Bond, offering a choice of investment in up to 10 of more than 40 funds, including externally managed funds from Fidelity, JP Morgan Fleming, Merrill Lynch, Schroders, SVM Asset Management and Threadneedle. The bond is a unit-linked whole of life non-qualifying life assurance policy with a minimum investment of £5,000. It also includes a manager of manager investment option through a link with Dutch investment bank Insinger de Beaufort, which will also be available with all Canada Life onshore and offshore products. Commission is up to 6% initial, plus a trail of up to 0.5% per year.
