Paul Sheldon is to join Artemis as sales manager for London and the Channel Islands.
He joins from Legg-Mason, where his most recent post was as intermediary sales for networks and discretionary brokers. His appointment at Artemis takes effect from October.
Sheldon's arrival marks the second stage in the group's plans to form an IFA support team. Recently the company appointed Rob McGrath, formerly of Zurich IFA, as sales manager for the UK south of Leicestershire, Birmingham and Worcestershire, excluding the area within the M25.
Jamie Campbell, marketing director at Artemis, said the company would appoint a third representative to cover the northern region, late in the summer.
Artemis' funds include the £53m UK Smaller Companies fund, managed by John Dodd and the £78.5m UK Growth Fund, managed by Mark Tyndall.
Earlier this year it launched its UK Income fund, managed by Derek Stuart, and its New Enterprises Fund, managed by Lindsay Whitelaw. Plans are in the pipeline for further products. Total funds under management now exceed £500m.
