Incisive Media, Investment Week's parent company, has three conferences scheduled for later this month, beginning on 16 October with the Investment Week Far East seminar.
To be held at the Bloomberg offices in Finsbury Square, London, the seminar will feature speakers from a number of asset managers known for their strong Far Eastern teams.
The event includes managers from Aberdeen Asset Management, Britannic, First State, Hendersons, Invesco Perpetual and Insight.
Following that, Investment Week's sister paper Hedge Funds Review is to hold a hedge funds training day for intermediaries on 17 October.
The event, which will also be held at the Bloomberg offices, will include speakers from Forsyth Partners, Coronation International and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Issues to be covered include fund of hedge funds, a topic of growing importance as the number of such products has been rising rapidly.
Also covered will be an overview of hedge fund strategies, leverage and capital protected hedge funds.
The third event will be a forum examining the issues surrounding the burgeoning market in multi-manager and fund of funds services.
This is being organised by MultiManager magazine, which launched in May this year. The forum will take place at the Investec Auditorium in Gresham Street, London, on 23 October.
Speakers for the event include John Husselbee, director of multi-manager investment at Henderson Global Investors. Also speaking are Artemis Premier Funds Service manager Aidan Kearney and Patrick Cooper, head of retail at Axa Investment Managers.
Fund of funds and multi-manager products are a rapidly expanding area of the market and competition is becoming intense.
