Scottish Life has launched a new marketing initiative it hopes will help IFAs capitalise on the increased group pension transfer opportunities arising from the new Stakeholder regulations. The group says now is the perfect opportunity for IFAs to increase their group pension business with existing and potential clients.
Scottish Life aims to highlight how the review and transfer of an existing group scheme can enable scheme members and employers to benefit from lower charges, leading edge systems and administration, a wider range of investment options, the potential for better investment performance and enhanced flexibility such as additional employee benefits.
Louise Gray, Product Marketing Manager at Scottish Life, commented: "As a result of the new regulations, thousands of employers need to review their existing employee pension arrangements. This has led to the realisation that many are considerably less competitive and less flexible than the new wave of group pension products currently available.
"Transferring a group scheme from one Provider to another may seem like a time consuming process but our new range of support material is designed to make this simple for IFAs. It includes literature for employers outlining the potential benefits of transferring the scheme together with check lists, technical guides and sample Reason Why reports."
The initiative includes literature and a CD Rom called "A Clear Approach - new solutions for existing group schemes". This is free of charge from local Scottish Life Sales Consultants or by calling 08457 19 20 21, for local Scottish Life Branches.
