New blood at Standard Life's Boston private equity team

John Guinee is joining the Standard Life Investments (Private Equity) team to lead the US investment operation as investment director for private equity North America. Rather than working out of Edinburgh, Guinee will be based in Boston and report to Dan Cahill, managing director, where he will help to manage a $200m of US private equity deals. Before joining SLI, Guinee was vice president of business development and strategy in the global markets division at State Street, having also worked at Alpha Technologies Group, The Acent Group and CE Capital.
