Dresdner RCM Global Investors is offering investors the opportunity to transfer their Pep or Isa investments free of charge into a package of three of its investment trusts.
Known as Triplits, the package consists of Brunner, Charter and Merchants. Brunner is in the Global Growth sector, Charter is a pan-European trust, investing in British and European growth stocks, and Merchants is a UK Income Growth trust.
Investors can choose to split their investment three equal ways or pick their own allocation between the three trusts
From 1 September 2001 until 31 December 2001, Dresdner is to waive the £20 transfer fee and 0.5% dealing charge on all Pep and Isa transfers into Triplits. Initial commission of 3% is also payable from the monies to be invested.
Simon White, head of investment trusts at Dresdner, said: 'Over the eight-year period to 1999, nearly three million single company Peps were taken out by investors. Many people are likely to be holding onto individual shares whose prospects have dramatically altered since purchase.'
