John Glover, sales director at Framlington, has resigned from the group after a five-year tenure.
The news follows the appointment last week of Nick Hodgson, previously of Rothschild Asset Management, as sales and marketing director, replacing Craig Walton. The former head of retail at Rothschild will take over on 15 September following Walton's announcement in June he is leaving the group to start up a new venture.
While Glover previously worked with Walton at F&C, Neil Birrell, chief investment officer at Framlington, said his resignation from the group is coincidental and he is parting on good terms.
Birrell added there will be a handover period between Walton and Hodgson and the group will not be actively searching for a replacement for Glover immediately, instead considering the issue after Hodgson has been in the job for a few months.
