Absolute Assigned Policies (AAP) has issued a guide to Teps on an interactive CD-Rom, providing IFAs with information on selling endowment policies.
The guide provides information about the Teps market and allows the IFA to get an instant assessment on whether an endowment policy is suitable for sale to the market.
The most commonly asked questions about buying and selling endowments are also featured on the CD-Rom through a video section with AAP managing director Lee Portnoi.
Portnoi said: "Advisers will be able to check if the client's with-profit policy is suitable for sale and automatically e-mail the policy details to AAP. If an IFA's client is looking to invest, the intermediary can advise on what a Tep will cost them to run and how secure their investment will be the most common concerns investors have."
The CD-Rom guide also gives IFAs a secure, confidential access to a number of management services offered by AAP, which will allow advisers to create a bespoke portfolio for their clients, have access to a premium payment facility and policy valuation service.
Copies of the CD-Rom are free to financial advisers and are available on 0800 072 1900.
An added tier of asset management can of course deliver additional benefits for certain investors, writes Graham Bentley - just be sure you can justify it to the regulator and, especially, the client
The government is "in daily contact" with industry figures over the pensions dashboard as it prepares for the roll-out and its feasibility report, Guy Opperman has said.
