Cofunds is standardising its switching charges to 0.25% of the transaction's value from 18 August. Advisers switching funds via Cofunds currently sell at the bid price and negotiate the new fund's front end load with the provider. Intermediaries will now be able to add commission to the fee with client's permission, and the uniform pricing structure will typically make switching cheaper. This will bring the platform's charging structure for switching in line with rival offerings, such as FundsNetwork.
