Legal & General is attempting to rectify the problems of past Isa seasons, when applications arrived too late to be submitted, with the launch of its own web-based fund supermarket.
However, the supermarket is only open to direct investors, and IFAs are being directed to the Cofunds supermarket if they want to book L&G Isas for their clients.
Available through its "save and invest" section, L&G's supermarket extends the external links developed for the corporate market and transfers them to the retail market so investors now have both active-managed funds and L&G's own tracker funds available on one site.
L&G says 21 fund managers and 80 funds will be available at launch.
Investors are asked to input their investment preferences and are then offered a choice of two funds to match their requirements.
