Solus has recruited Simon Brooks from Investors Partnership to co-manage its funds of funds offering.
The group launched Balanced, Growth and International vehicles this week with a fixed price of £1 per unit until 20 January.
Brooks is working alongside Solus' head of multi-manager Alan Stokes, who himself joined from Investors Partnership last year.
Brooks has previously worked in the fixed income department at Daiwa Bank and joined Investors Partnership in March 2002 from solicitors Blake Laphthorn.
The Solus funds of funds are part of an Oeic. The initial charge is 3.5%, with an annual management fee of 1.25%. The minimum investment is £500, or £40 monthly. Commission payable to intermediaries will be 3% initial and 0.5% renewal.
