Friends Provident is launching an investment bond this week, with a special offer that lasts until 9 November.
The Investment Portfolio Bond provides an extra 2% allocation for money that comes in during this period.
It offers investors 16 funds or the opportunity to pick from four ready-made strategies run by Friends Provident, each with different risk and return characteristics.
Investors can choose between internal and external fund links, including property vehicles, an index tracker and the ethical Stewardship fund, as well as the life company's with-profits fund.
Investors will be able to choose any 10 of the funds at any one time.
The four strategies on offer range from cautious and balanced to managed and ethical.
There will be no bid-to-offer spread and investors will be able to access their income monthly, quarterly, termly, half-yearly or annually. The bonus will depend on the value of the underlying investments.
The normal allocation rate for investments from £5,000 to £9,999 is 100%. From £10,000 to £19,999, it is 101%.
The next tier of allocation, from £20,000 to £99,999, will be 101.755%, while for more than £100,000 it is 102.25%.
There is no initial charge and the annual management fee will be 1.25%.
