Private client portfolio manager Gerrard has put a reduce note on the Fidelity North American fund following the departure of John Muresianu. Analyst Raj Basra said replacement manager Fergus Shiel has a good track record in large cap US equities but that the track record of Fidelity North American was established predominantly in the mid and small cap areas of the market. Basra said that in addition, the number of holdings within the portfolio was being narrowed considerably from over 300 to 100.
