Gartmore has linked up with hedge fund company Aspect Capital to develop managed futures hedge funds. The group has been running single manager hedge funds since 1999 after the launch of the AlphaGen Capella fund, managed by Roger Guy and Guillaume Rambourg. Gartmore does not have in-house capability to run managed futures portfolios and so has linked up with Aspect, Gartmore is planning to bring out UK and Japan managed futures products but more specific details will not be available until the end of the year.
