Dominic Baker is to take over the £58m Threadneedle Pan-European Growth Fund from Susie Roberts at the end of August.
Roberts is leaving the group at the end of the month to pursue a career within the sailing industry.
Baker has been part of Threadneedle's European team since 2000 and is currently deputy manager of the European Select Growth Fund as well as managing other institutional European equity portfolios. He is head of the telecoms global sector team as well as the automobiles sector research team.
Philip Cliff is to take on Baker's previous role as deputy
on European Select Growth, with Darrell O'Dea to remain lead manager.
Over three years to 4 August 2003, the AA rated Pan European Growth fund has returned '32.2% against a sector average of '34.1%, ranking it third out of 11 in the Europe including UK peer group.
Meanwhile Quentin Fitzsimmons has joined Threadneedle's fixed income team as fixed income fund manager . Previously he was at F&C Management as director of fixed interest for UK bonds.
In his new position, Fitzsimmons he will be responsible for a number of institutional UK gilt portfolios, both conventional and index-linked and work alongside Sandra Holdsworth, who manages Threadneedle's Global, Sterling and European Bond funds.
