Incisive Media, Investment Week's parent publishing company, will hold its inaugural State of the Nation conference and exhibition on 27 September 2002.
State of the Nation, which is to be held at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster, London, has been designed as the annual focal point for intermediary businesses and product providers to debate key issues affecting the intermediary industry.
The event brings together leading providers such as Fidelity, Insight, Merrill Lynch, First State and Aberdeen, and will focus on the effects of the Sandler Review and the CP121 consultation process. In addition, there will be presentations on succession planning, the future of with-profits policies and the pricing of advice.
Speakers at the conference will include Mike Ross, chief executive of Scottish Widows, talking about how depolarisation will change the pensions and investment industry, while Rob Adams, CEO at First State Investments, will discuss the Australian depolarisation experience.
Abbey National's sales and marketing director, Ambrose McGinn, will discuss the role of multi-brand financial services companies, while Neil Birrell, the CIO of Framlington, will look at how to maximise the value of an intermediary business.
