Performance fees brought money management companies worldwide an extra $1.13bn from customers, according to Fitzrovia International fund research. The company surveyed 2,110 retail, institutional and hedge funds across late 2001 and early 2002. The $1.13bn was in addition to $1.98bn in basic management fees, said Fitzrovia.
