Pinnacle Insurance has launched a six-year investment bond linked to the FTSE 100 index with a growth lock-in feature.
The Twenty-First Century Investor's Bond allows index growth of 21% to be locked in after three years if the index is 21% or more above its starting value at the third anniversary.
If the lock-in is not triggered, investors receive 100% of the growth in the index over the six-year term, averaged over the final 12 months.
The final index value is calculated by averaging the closing index values on the second day of each month from October 2008 to October 2009 inclusive.
Capital is 100% protected regardless of movement in the underlying index, subject to securities issued by an A-rated investment bank. The bond is available from 11 August to 19 September and commission is 2.5%.
