Research into investor attitudes has found that two-thirds of investors with assets affected by the stock market believe that their losses will be recovered within the next five years, Abbey National says.
According to the survey it commissioned, people in Wales are the most optimistic, with 75% of investors there expecting a recovery in the next half-decade, with those in the East Midlands the least optimistic.
Just over half, or 51% of those surveyed said now was the right time to take advantage of still historically low share prices to invest for long-term gains.
