Pensions investment consultancy Epic Investment Consulting, which launched this month, is to provide independent investment advice to members of pension fund trustee boards. The firm is targeting pension funds with assets in excess of £50m. The group believes the Myners Report and the Trustee Act 2000 will lead to strong demand for advice. Chief executive Christopher Edge said while the trustee's role is to create an effective strategy, there is a lack of genuine expertise among trustees.
